Osage County board approves $500,000 in PBC invoices for building work

The PBC voted to send the bills to the Board of Osage County Commissioners for payment; the county board then approved payment by voice vote.
Commissioners discussed project status and a punch list for retainage; a county staff member on the call said local contractors are bidding work and that the building could be built by local firms. The PBC chair and county staff indicated they expect construction punch-list items and retainage closeout to occur in the coming weeks.
The action followed routine PBC practice of reviewing contractor invoices and forwarding them for payment. The board then adjourned the PBC meeting and reconvened the county commission to act on the forwarded invoices.
Next steps: county staff will process the payments and continue coordination with PBC staff and contractors on final punch-list and retainage items.
