At its Dec. 10 meeting the Atchison County Board authorized the chair to sign the Extension Council budget for the period Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025, and approved the week's county expenses.
The chair presented the Extension Council budget and asked commissioners to review totals in the blue folder. Commissioners noted figures on the record while confirming a county total for the Atchison County portion; the transcript records some numeric values unclearly in places. The board moved to allow the chair to sign the Extension Council budget and approved the motion 3 to 0.
Later the commission took up approval of the week's expenses. A motion to approve the expenses carried; one commissioner stated they would abstain because they had not seen an item and that abstention was noted in the record.
The meeting recessed for a planned site visit to the county’s future Road & Bridge facility and later returned to adjourn.
