Chair Ariane Lyons announced that Tycor Title had volunteered pro bono deed research for Mingus Park and discovered missing scanned pages in city files. Lyons told the commission the title review found no deed restrictions for the park but noted a couple of items may require follow-up.
Commissioners thanked Tycor Title for the donated work. The commission also encouraged members and the public to visit Airport Heights Park that evening, where consultants would present three design ideas for the park from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., with snacks provided. Staff additionally announced a community movie screening (Finding Nemo) at Third and Central on Friday at 8:00 p.m.
No formal action was taken on the deed research at the work session; the documents will be reviewed by staff and the commission may follow up on outstanding title items at a future meeting.
