Strategic plan: Trustees voted to adopt the district strategic plan after a second presentation; the superintendent said the board’s guidance will shape goals and evaluation and that the plan is expected to be finalized by next June.
Legislative platform: The board approved the district legislative platform, a guiding document for conversations with legislators and for student council to develop its own platform.
Personnel actions and executive session: The board held two executive sessions — one for nonelected personnel/Human Resources and a second for negotiation strategy with chief negotiators — and upon returning approved personnel actions as presented.
Grants and donations: Staff thanked local donors: Domino’s (22 pizzas), Price Chopper ($2,100 in gift cards), Ground House Coffee (seven thermoses) and other contributions to support district events and programs and specific classroom needs.
