Castleberry ISD students showcase 'Going for the Gold' and STEM program at board meeting

"Tonight, you will see how our students, staff, and families are striving for excellence by believing in themselves and achieving greatness," said student Miana Alcarez, who introduced the presentation on behalf of Irma Marsh Middle School. The presentation included remarks from other students and staff about academic programs and leadership opportunities such as NJHS, Hub Squad and STEM.
Student Emmanuel Cardona described the STEM Academy’s role in motivating students. "The STEM Academy has been instrumental in motivating me to strive for higher education standards in my education," he said, and recalled a recent field trip to Texas A&M and hands-on work at STEM camp, including building small robots.
Presenters also recognized the district’s custodial and nutrition services for their role in maintaining clean, safe learning environments and providing meals that support student learning. The board asked staff in attendance to stand to be recognized.
