The Bluffdale Planning Commission voted unanimously on Nov. 27 to recommend approval of a road dedication plat for a portion of 14730 South right‑of‑way, a project aimed at converting a long‑standing private gravel road into a public street to support industrial park revitalization.
Grant Kroll, the staff presenter, described the site on the east side near Knoll Nelson Drive and Quality Stone. He said the redevelopment agency has partnered on property acquisition and that a contractor (BD Bush) has been awarded work adjacent to the project. Kroll told the commission that parcels were consolidated, easements were coordinated with utility providers and the goal is to create a clean, single owner road for utilities and future construction.
A commissioner moved to recommend approval of the 14730 South Road Dedication Plat (application 2020‑440) as presented in the staff report dated Nov. 27, 2024; the motion was seconded and carried with commissioners Eric, Tina and Michael and the chair voting aye. The chair noted the item will proceed to city council once hearing notices are completed; staff said council action is expected next week.
The planning commission closed the public hearing with no emails or in‑person comments recorded.
