Oakdale council passes consent agenda, financial schedule and local appointments

The Oakdale City Council completed a series of routine votes, approving the consent agenda, the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (ROPS) tied to the 2011 dissolution of redevelopment agencies, and several local board appointments.
On the consent agenda, members moved and seconded to proceed; the item passed by roll call 5–0. Staff then presented the ROPS background, explaining that the 2011 state decision dissolved redevelopment agencies and successor agencies continue to wind down obligations; the ROPS must be submitted to the county oversight board and the state by Feb. 1. City staff noted the city’s general fund received about $400,000 from tax‑increment distributions in the last year. Council approved the ROPS by a 5–0 vote.
The council also voted on personnel appointments: it approved the continuation of the Mayor Pro Tem for another year by a 4–1 vote (one member opposed) and approved a set of local board appointments by a 5–0 vote. Members then offered holiday acknowledgments, thanked volunteers and closed the meeting.
All routine motions were decided by roll call vote during the meeting; staff will proceed with administrative follow‑up as required.
