Chowchilla council reenacts Measure N, approves Mid Valley parcel map and school improvement deferral

The Chowchilla City Council voted to reenact Measure N, the city’s public safety transactions and use tax, and approved a slate of development and administrative items during its December meeting.
City staff said Measure N was approved by voters in November with roughly 80% support; the ordinance presented to council would reenact the measure so it continues until ended by voters. Miss Lerner summarized the ballot outcome and asked the council to adopt Ordinance No. 523-24 to reenact the tax; the council opened and closed the public hearing with no public comment and adopted the ordinance by roll call.
