A council member cautioned that taking FAA grants may create long‑term obligations if the city later considered relocating the airport; staff acknowledged that any future relocation would need to address grant payback or timing requirements.
The council approved the consultant award by roll call. Staff said they will share a rough history of FAA funding amounts with council after the meeting.
