Ravena Village board hears department reports and lists community events, grant steps

Unidentified Speaker 1 described community events and outreach: a Halloween decorating contest (judging Oct. 22; winners announced Nov. 5), "Horror in the Hollow" on Oct. 19 at Jerlamin Park (tickets $12; advance discounted online sales), a VFW Auxiliary 9594 suicide awareness walk on Sept. 22 (about 40 participants) that distributed gun locks and donation-funded "freedom boxes" for military personnel overseas, and the Shriner Circus plans to return for three days July 31–Aug. 2, 2025.

Unidentified Speaker 6 said the grant writer has a tentative Oct. 7 meeting to pursue a USDA Emergency Community Water Assistance grant to help beef up village water infrastructure.
