Staff described the work as addressing required security upgrades related to handling foreign‑flag vessels and said the package includes the main entrance driveway, security cameras, TWIC readers and fencing. Staff told commissioners two responsive bids were received and the low bid totaled $341,000. The board moved to authorize the executive director to accept the low bid and amend the 2024 capital budget; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
The board directed staff to execute the contract and return with any necessary reporting on the budget amendment and contract execution.
