Several operational purchases were authorized: a $4,500 tree-removal contract to remove hazardous trees near fiber and telephone lines, and a split purchase/install approach for a new water-plant generator with a combined cost of roughly $18,000. Regarding the generator, Speaker 2 outlined two options and said the equipment-plus-install approach reduced the total from a single-vendor quote of about $26,000 to about $18,400; Speaker 6 moved to approve the combined expenditures.
A small parcel on Canal was approved for sale to an interested buyer for a reported appraisal value of $1,500, with deed restrictions limiting future structures. Several other routine items were discussed, including a proposal to revisit a 2017 sign study with a budget not to exceed $2,500.
One membership vote related to annual stormwater coalition dues of $6,450 was discussed but the transcript includes an unclear record of affirmative votes during that item; the transcript does not clearly show a final recorded tally for the membership vote.
