Mayor (unnamed) told trustees the fiscal year that ended May 31 produced a net surplus of $845,007.68, excluding CHIP and EFC reimbursements. The mayor said the surplus strengthens the village’s reserve fund.
Treasurer (speaker 8) read the warrants for approval — general fund, water, sewer and payroll totals — and asked the board to amend the 2024–25 budget to capture the cost of purchasing two Ford Escapes for the police department (amend account 3120020264457). The amendment was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Several trustees discussed that proceeds from selling surplus vehicles will offset part of the expenditure. Separately, the mayor reported that Moody’s finalized its review and affirmed the village’s bond rating at Aa3.
The board did not set specific delivery dates for the vehicles during the meeting; staff will follow up on procurement details and vehicle scheduling.
