Board approves 3.2% raises and several staff hires; accepts a resignation
Summary
Following executive session, trustees approved a 3.2% pay increase for most employees, accepted Stacy Summers' resignation and approved multiple hires including coaches and para-educators; all actions were approved by voice vote 6-0.
After an executive session the board returned to open session and approved compensation and personnel items. A motion to grant a 3.2% pay increase for most employees was moved, seconded and approved by a 6-0 voice vote.
Trustee motions also accepted the resignation of Stacy Summers and approved a slate of hires presented by the superintendent and staff: Emmy Deters as HHS chair sponsor; Travis Hamble as HMS assistant sponsor for Scholars’ Bowl; Becca Hirsch as an HES paraprofessional; Sherilyn Gilbert as HES administrative assistant; and Zach Nelson as HMS football assistant coach. Each personnel item was moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote with no recorded opposition (6-0).
No further personnel details (salaries or contract lengths) were read into the record during the meeting; the board chair closed the meeting after approving the personnel and compensation items.
