The Board of Control, meeting Monday, December 23, approved two year‑end requisitions to close out construction and facilities needs before the end of the year.
An unidentified staff member moved to approve a $33,635 requisition to Professional Service Industries, to be paid from the ARPA fund, for special inspections related to the new Rec and Wellness Center. The presiding officer said, "This is for the new Rec and Wellness Center, and special inspections that have to occur for the construction. These are not covered in the general contract for the construction." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also approved a $16,000 requisition from the general fund to Penco Industrial Supply to purchase replacement chairs for the council chambers. The staff mover said, "These will be chairs for the council chambers. We'll be replacing all the chairs up in the front of the stage." That motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board moved to excuse Councilman Wotilla and Director Stevens and approved the minutes from the Dec. 16 meeting. Director Smith moved to adjourn later in the session; the motion was seconded and the meeting concluded with a voice vote in favor.
No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript; approvals were recorded as unanimous voice votes ('Aye').
