Public Works Director Tim Ross said the dancing lights along the riverfront will run every 15 minutes and that McConnell Plaza will feature a new expanded display opening with Energy on Ice on Thanksgiving weekend. He noted 20+ events planned across the season, including the tree lighting and a traditional parade. Ross encouraged residents to consult the city web pages and social channels for schedules and updates.
City Manager Nate Pagan also briefed the commission on the pickleball facility, a partnership between the city and River City Pickleball Club; he said design and construction documents are nearly complete and that the club's fundraising is underway as its local investment in the project.
The commission viewed a brief social‑media video highlighting holiday displays and a sanitation truck segment; staff said the sanitation truck will be in the parade and on display at Legion Park for the duration of festivities.
