After soliciting bids for a replacement ambulance, the court awarded the contract to Penn Care (approx. $289,544) with a delivery estimate of fall 2026; members discussed contract language to address potential chassis‑price increases and approved paying upon delivery.
Supporters said the investments help address a statewide shortage of paramedics and improve on‑scene capability and equipment reliability. The fiscal court approved the contracts and purchases by voice votes and instructed staff to proceed with implementation steps.
