Staff and volunteers acknowledged resource constraints — shelters and rescues are often at capacity — and said animal control can only intervene when animals are injured or ill. County staff agreed to provide Griffin with resource contacts, collect data on how many cats the Humane Society is trapping and releasing in the area, and explore partnerships with barn‑cat placement programs.
The court did not direct emergency enforcement; instead commissioners asked the animal control committee to follow up and requested staff supply the resident with available resource information.
