One commissioner noted a $225,000 purchase price cited in materials and suggested grant opportunities to offset cost; another cautioned that the same funds might otherwise buy vital equipment like an EMS vehicle.
Rather than decide immediately, the court agreed to schedule a field trip to Pulaski County to observe an air‑curtain burner in operation and to gather additional cost and permitting information; the city of Danville has verbally agreed to split acquisition costs if the county pursues a purchase.
