Poffin noted the organization received an award from the Oregon Office of Rural Health and described new programs including exercise classes, dementia education and a digital literacy course planned for January (SEG 316–396).
Poffin thanked county budget support that added $120,000 for senior centers in the county budget and said a $40,000 allocation to the group will make a substantial difference for operating funds (SEG 381–389). He also flagged operational risks at St. Patrick's Apartments, where insurance increases and changes in property management raise concerns for 14 low‑income residents who rely on the facility and the senior center meeting space (SEG 431–444).
Commissioners thanked the group for volunteer engagement and outreach; no board action was required.
