Board members approved using remaining ARP/ESSER 3 funds for listed purchases that must be obligated before Sept. 30. Approved items included playground equipment for SCS (SES) at $41,569, a principal‑mentorship program budgeted at $25,000 for one year, and Apple iPads for a 1:1 program in grades 3–5 at $26,463. Administration said the mentorship program will include eight Zoom mentoring sessions during the school day and will cover building principals and assistant principals.
The board also awarded a contract to Christner Concrete & Hardscapes LLC for emergency sidewalk, stairs and loading‑dock repairs at SPC/SHS not to exceed $63,200 (budgeted in the 2024–25 fiscal year). Members discussed potential ADA grants and noted the timeline for playground equipment ordering and installation would likely place completion in the spring.
All listed ARP/ESSER purchases and the sidewalk contract passed on voice votes. Administration said purchases align with permissible ESSER uses (including activities promoting student health and access to learning) and will proceed under the district’s purchasing and procurement processes.
