Crook County ratifies HR director hire and approves multiple departmental promotions
Summary

Jackie Davis from the county landfill requested three personnel actions following a staff departure: promote Mark Roden to lead equipment operator, add preventative‑maintenance duties for Clive Bigelow, and hire a new equipment operator for a Tuesday–Saturday shift. Commissioners made three separate motions for those actions and approved each by voice vote.
Staff also sought internal promotion of Landon Werner from flagger to the third road‑department mechanic position, noting no net increase in FTEs because of prior organizational changes. Commissioners authorized necessary personnel actions and signing authority for that promotion.
The personnel moves are part of routine internal staffing adjustments to maintain operations in road and landfill divisions and to install a new HR director in early January.
