Commissioners move two Ag Extension advisory-board appointments to consent

Crook County staff told commissioners that two candidates — Dori Kurtz and Janelle Geddes — applied for two advertised openings on the Ag Extension Service District advisory board and that the advisory board recommended both for appointment. Rebecca (staff) said the advisory board asked that the applicants attend the advisory-board meeting on Nov. 20 as members of the public so they could observe how the board operates.
Commissioners said they had no objections to either candidate and agreed to move both appointments to the consent agenda for formal approval at the next public meeting. No formal vote was recorded at the work session beyond the decision to place the item on consent.
