Votes at a glance: Crook County commissioners approve personnel delegations, PERS enrollment and letter on wildfire map

PERS enrollment for deputy district attorneys: Staff presented a proposed agreement to memorialize enrollment of deputy district attorneys into the county’s PERS/HERS participation (referencing a December 1973 resolution and a July 1974 effective date in background materials). Speaker 2 moved to approve the amendment to add deputy district attorneys to PERS; Speaker 1 seconded. The motion passed.

Letter about wildfire‑risk map: The board approved sending the draft letter to Oregon State University and the Association of Oregon Counties raising mapping inconsistencies and due‑process concerns; Speaker 3 moved the motion and Speaker 2 seconded. The board voted to approve sending the letter and asked staff to cc the governor's office and state legislators and to request a sit‑down meeting with OSU staff.
