Crook County commissioners approved a $212,000 purchase of asphalt to repair Upper Davis, county staff said during a July 31 work session. Brad told the board he solicited multiple bids and recommended Tri County Paving for the work.
Brad explained the material and route, saying the project covers the stretch from Juniper Canyon Road to Caves and that he had contacted three regional asphalt suppliers before selecting the vendor. Commissioner Susie moved to approve the purchase; the board voted in favor during the work session.
County staff said purchases will begin the following Monday and that public notification (a road sign and social media post) had been used to inform neighbors about the work. No dollar‑amount changes or contract amendments were reported at the meeting.
The approval was made during the work session and was handled as a routine procurement item the board agreed could be placed on the consent agenda at the regular meeting.
