Clay County adopts $702.8 million budget and raises aggregate millage rate to 8.3427

The board then voted by roll call to adopt the final budget in the amount of $702,827,040, which includes the Lake Asbury Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU) budget of $1,441,300.
Commissioners thanked staff for the multi‑departmental work required to assemble the budget and noted the unusual workload given hurricane preparations. The budget approval included separate roll‑call votes first to set the millage rate and then to adopt the budget totals as required by Florida statute.
The adopted budget and rates will govern county spending for the fiscal year and serve as the basis for property tax notices and subsequent administration by the county finance and clerk's offices.
