He said Nassau County had prepared a formal stimulus package and suggested Clay County staff follow up with the regional planning council to determine whether a similar approach is appropriate.
Addressing the board, the commissioner proposed a brief agenda item: "5 or 10 minutes out of, out of the next meeting ... 10 minutes, for, just to open discussion." He said the item could be an informal brainstorming session rather than a workshop or a formal motion, and asked Mr. Behring to place it on the next agenda if the board agreed.
No formal motion was recorded or enacted at the meeting; the suggestion received nods from other commissioners in the room and was left for staff to schedule. The proposal does not create a budgetary authorization and would merely reserve time for initial discussion.
