Local business groups present commemorative gift to honor county parade support

Charles Hodges of Keystone Heights, speaking for the Clay County Business Owners Association, publicly thanked the commission and singled out Stephanie Kapoleuse and Jackie for their help organizing the parade. "First of all, we wanna thank the commissioner for support to give us for the parade," Hodges said. He introduced local artist Brad Satcher to present a gift intended as a going-away memento for Stephanie.
Brad Satcher presented the commemorative piece at the front of the room. Commissioners and attendees praised the work: Speaker 1 called it "outstanding," and others said they wanted additional copies. Hodges described Kapoleuse as an "icon in Clay County." The presentation followed an earlier request from the Middleburg Business Association for time during public comment to make a similar presentation to county leadership.
The exchange took place during the meeting’s public-comment period, and no formal board action or vote was taken on the presentation. The commission accepted the gift and offered public thanks.
