Approved items (voice vote unless otherwise noted): - Franchise agreements: The board approved contracts for three container-service franchisees — GFL Solid Waste Southeast LLC (GFL Environmental), Newton Custom Construction LLC and GLD Construction Services (doing business as Waste Regulators). Trevor, who presented the solicitation, said staff would bring each qualified applicant to the board for approval and that the board's previous cap on franchises would be relaxed.
