LSC and LBO brief House higher-education committee on funding formulas, OCOG and enrollments

Rachel Larson of the Legislative Service Commission and Ed Mullane of the Legislative Budget Office presented an overview of Ohio’s higher-education landscape, funding formulas and new budget programs to the House Higher Education Committee during a committee briefing.
Larson outlined institutional types in Ohio, saying state institutions, regional branch campuses, technical colleges, state community colleges and private institutions are all created and regulated under specific chapters of the Revised Code. She noted there are 14 state universities and that most public-student enrollment occurs on main university campuses.
