Council interviews Karina Pedroza for Inclusive Society Advisory Committee

"My name is Karina Pedroza. Pedroza noted prior leadership as president of the board for Unity in Action, a nonprofit out of South Sioux City focused on Latino advocacy, and said she hopes to "be a voice for them" and to help community members gain access to economic development resources.
Councilmembers praised her application and experience and confirmed there is an opening on the Inclusive Society Advisory Committee. The mayor and council welcomed her and thanked her for applying; no formal objections were raised in the public comments that followed.
The council moved forward with the consent agenda which included appointments and advisory committee business.
