Officials emphasized that the budget was adopted without a tax increase. Commissioner Harvey and other members thanked staff, the chief financial officer and the county’s chief operating officer for their work assembling the plan.
The board also approved the 2025 tax levies, millage rates and user fee schedules and finalized appropriations to county agencies and authorities by unanimous voice votes. After adoption, commissioners moved on to other agenda items, including personnel actions and board appointments.
The board indicated the adopted 2025 budget will fund ongoing county services and programs; no additional hearings or votes on the operating budget were announced at the conclusion of the vote.
