At the Dec. 23 session the Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved a package of consent items ranging from appointments to grant amendments and interdepartmental transfers.
The board reappointed Kurt Miller to a project/value commission and approved reapplying Grace Feiler to the marine development authority board. Commissioners also approved a first amendment to a water and wastewater infrastructure program grant agreement and authorized John Mason to sign the amendment that staff said will allow drawing down the remaining retainage. Staff described the amount as small ("it's about $5,000" in discussion) and said the amendment is intended to close out the project.
Commissioners authorized staff to submit an ODOT application for the Morrow County Airport. Staff explained federal and state match rules have shifted — the FAA changed formulas to cover a larger share of eligible costs and ODOT matching is reduced — and said this may be among the last years to seek ODOT matching funds. The motion to authorize the application passed on a roll call vote.
Other routine approvals included county partner services in Montgomery County, a $15 late fee payment to AT&T, approval of a completion proposal for Julian and Group (option 3), appropriations of medical care certified monies and several transfers for auditor, OPERS and sewer district funds.
All consent items and routine motions were approved by the commissioners during the session; no amendments or defeats were recorded in the transcript.
