At its Jan. 2 meeting, the Woburn City Council handled several procedural items and unanimous voice votes on routine matters.
The council approved a motion appointing Diane J Stiffler as Clerk of the Council Pro Tem for the meeting and administered the oath of office.
The council voted to refer a special-permit petition from Citizens Bank for demolition and construction with a drive-up ATM at 1 Commerce Way to a public hearing. Later in the meeting, the Suntree States LLC petition for a childcare center at 205–213 Cambridge Road was allowed to withdraw without prejudice; the petitioner said it will return with revised materials.
The meeting closed with a motion to adjourn that passed by voice vote.
