The Woburn City Council adopted a resolution Feb. 20 recognizing two Woburn residents, Myla Ramos and Tayah Leslie, members of the New England Flag Football League (NEFL) Elite 10U girls team for winning multiple national championships, including the NFL Flag Championships at the 2024 Pro Bowl in Orlando.
An unnamed councilor read the resolution into the record, noting the team was the only squad from Massachusetts to win at the Pro Bowl and that the players helped the team complete an undefeated season that included national and world titles. President Dillon and other councilors presented the resolution and congratulated the players and their families.
The council voted to adopt the resolution and briefly hosted the team and family members near the dais for photos. The recognition was approved by voice vote.
