"Just this week, we did receive a favorable recommendation from the city solicitor relative to the covenant, being prepared, the easement agreement, and the HOA, all in order in accordance with his review," the director said. The board moved to accept the documents subject to signature and agreed to release plans for recording once executed.
Staff also updated subdivision matters: Sherman Terrace remains in process while easements are negotiated with an abutting owner; Iview/Highview estates list an expected completion date of April 1, 2025 and reported a settlement with Eversource. The director noted he had continued review dates into October to allow easement recording.
In his report the director summarized City Council action on prior planning recommendations: the ordinance committee postponed final action on MBTA/3A Non Age‑Restricted Family Housing amendments until further notice, and the city has until Dec. 31 to take final action. He also described downtown public‑realm work—surface preparation for a future parking lot at Magazine Court, underground drainage, electrical stanchions awaiting lights, and recent sidewalk power‑washing donated by Atlantic Power Cleaning—and noted continuing Wednesday night concerts in Citizens Park.
