The Woburn Conservation Commission accepted the Aug. 22, 2024 meeting minutes (one member abstained because they were absent on Aug. 22). The commission approved a minor plan modification to move an already‑approved deck slightly at 7 Locust Street after staff circulated plan revisions.
Members coordinated several upcoming site visits — including properties on Grama Street, Carson, Lowell/low‑Burlington line locations and the Burke property — agreeing meeting points and times to take advantage of daylight. Staff noted a municipal composting plan at the landfill; engineering advised the proposed composting area appears outside the commission's 50‑foot buffer and the city will file if future work enters commission jurisdiction. Commissioners asked staff to request courtesy notice if tree removal is planned.
The commission also discussed two nearby foundation/renovation projects (4 Evangeline and 102 Middle Street) that may involve an intermittent channel; staff recommended Request for Determination of Applicability (RDA) filings and possible site visits to clarify jurisdiction for those projects.
