The North Allegheny School District board elected Missus Warner as its president and Miss Hardy as vice president at the board’s annual organization meeting. The meeting established leadership and committee assignments for the coming year and approved the district’s representatives to the A.W. Beatty Career Center.
Miss Hardy nominated Missus Warner for the one-year president term; the nomination was seconded and approved by voice vote, with the temporary chair declaring Missus Warner president. For vice president, nominations included Mister Wenninger (nominated by Mister McClure) and Miss Hardy (nominated by Miss Britton Dozier). After nominations were closed, the board held a roll-call vote that resulted in Miss Hardy’s election by a 5–3 tally.
The board also appointed two representatives to the A.W. Beatty Career Center. Miss Hardy nominated Mrs. Warner and Mrs. Blackburn for the two representative seats; the nominations were confirmed in a roll-call vote with each named board member answering in the affirmative during the vote. Alternate representatives were likewise appointed and recorded on the agenda.
The chair reviewed and confirmed standing delegations and committee assignments. Among the appointments announced: curriculum to Miss Hardy; finance to Mister Wenninger; human resources to Miss Britton Dozier; technology services to Doctor Simcoviak; property and supplies to Mister McClure; the school board report to Missus Blackburn; student services to Doctor Gibbs; student activities to Mister Corona and Miss Faber; and the superintendent’s report to Doctor Hyland. Committee representatives named included Doctor Simcoviak as primary for the Citizens Advisory Committee with Miss Hardy as alternate, Doctor Gibbs as the AIU representative, Doctor Shaw as primary for the legislative report with Missus Blackburn as alternate.
With votes and assignments completed, the chair adjourned the meeting. The reorganization agenda listed the full roster of legally elected qualified school board members and the board secretary invited corrections to that list.
(The meeting transcript does not specify a calendar date for this reorganization; the agenda and roll-call votes are recorded in the board’s reorganization minutes.)
