Owners say architect delays, $1M‑plus renovations ahead for Monfield Avenue bowling alley

Michael Vigorito, speaking for Entertainment LLC, and Celio D'Souza updated the Woburn License Commission on plans to renovate a bowling alley at 32 Monfield Ave. The owners said hiring an architect caused a 5‑to‑6 month delay but that plans should arrive in the next month or two.
Vigorito said the project will include new lanes, a renovated kitchen and bathrooms, and other work; D'Souza described an overall renovation budget that may exceed $1 million. D'Souza said he is the controlling member of the LLC that owns the building and that tenants (a function hall) are separate business operators. The board asked the applicants to provide more frequent status updates and invited the owner’s attorney and Mr. D'Souza back for a February check‑in.
Clerk Gordon Vincent confirmed that the applicant has submitted paperwork for a bowling‑alley license to the City Council and that it should move through committee soon.
