The Woburn Conservation Commission handled several routine and administrative matters at its Dec. 5 meeting.
Staff reported VHB could not attend to present slope‑stabilization plans for the Delaney/Veil site (DEP file noted). VHB had requested that inspection reports be reduced to quarterly; commissioners agreed to retain monthly inspections until VHB presents options in January so the commission retains leverage on slope work and remediation.
The board unanimously approved the Nov. 21, 2024 meeting minutes. For a tree removal and pruning request at 16 South Bedford Street the commission agreed that an on‑site visit is appropriate; commissioners scheduled a site visit for Saturday, Dec. 7 at 9:00 a.m. and asked staff to notify members who were not present and the requester.
On other agenda items the commission voted unanimously to issue an Order of Conditions for Joseph Martinetti (NOI DEP #348‑0876) for parking lot improvements and a play area at 335 Washington St. and 28 Cedar St. The commission also accepted Horsley Witten Group as the peer reviewer for the proposed car wash at 325 Veil Avenue (file #348‑878). The meeting closed after staff read a congratulatory notice from the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions acknowledging Commissioner Joyce's completion of training.
