City to repost city engineer job with updated salary range after union agreement

After the posting closes the city expects to share candidates with the committee and move forward with interviews.
A councilor said the expanded salary range should help attract certified civil engineers with municipal experience and allow flexibility to match candidates’ qualifications. The councilor described the change as a constructive step to bring pay in line with surrounding communities and said the approach could serve as a model for other positions.
No formal vote was required for the update; the committee accepted the informational report and discussed next steps for recruitment.
