East Penn Board recognizes National Merit honorees and seats new SGA liaisons

At the Oct. 28 East Penn School District meeting the board recognized three 2025 National Merit Scholarship semifinalists and seven commended students from Emmaus High School. Dr. Campbell invited honorees to the front for certificates; administrators and board members applauded the students' academic and extracurricular contributions to the district.
Dr. Campbell then introduced student government representatives: Lindsay Kaylor (SGA vice president) and Alexandra 'Lexi' Howard (school-board liaison). The students described homecoming week events, a 1,300-student homecoming dance, club participation, athletic results (football EPC champions, district semifinalists in multiple sports), AP exam registration dates and upcoming theater and honor-society events. Board members welcomed the SGA representatives and invited them to remain for the rest of the meeting.
The recognitions and student report were presented as part of the meeting's opening ceremonial items and student engagement segment; there were no formal votes tied to the recognitions.
