East Penn honors National Merit finalist; EHS student government reports spring activities

The East Penn Board opened its April 22 meeting by recognizing Emmaus High School senior Ben Wheezy as a National Merit Scholarship finalist. Dr. Campbell presented a certificate and noted Wheezy’s top-1% SAT performance, membership in the National Honor Society and plans to attend Penn State.
The board then heard a Student Government Association report from student representatives who summarized recent athletic results, upcoming concerts and club activities. Highlights included multiple sport wins, the FBLA state conference qualifiers (students advancing to nationals), the EHS orchestra and band concert dates, and community-service projects such as a book drive that collected roughly 350 books.
