TACIR honors research director Mark McAdoo ahead of retirement; staff promotions announced

The commission recognized research director Mark McAdoo on the occasion of his retirement after 30 years of state service.
Director Cliff Lippert introduced the staff update and noted McAdoo’s pending retirement, saying McAdoo had "an exceptional career across state government" with service at TDEC, TDOT and TACIR. A Senate joint resolution honoring "Dr. Lewis Mark McAdoo" was read by David Lewis; McAdoo thanked colleagues and family and spoke briefly about his career and plans. "And so, while I'm out on the pickleball court with the other senior citizens, I will think of y'all and the good work that you do," he said.
Director Lippert also announced staffing changes: Jennifer Berry will become a research director effective July 1; Deputy Executive Director Melissa Brown celebrated 25 years of service; research manager Bob Morio reached 10 years, and three new research associates — Jennifer Arzate, Carly Van Sickle and Madison Moffitt — were introduced to the commission.
No action was required by the commission on the staff update; members thanked staff for their work and congratulated those recognized.
