Investigator Kevin Creed told the panel that an attorney for an individual (Faison) had notified staff his client could not attend due to a recent death in the family but had declined to provide obituary details; staff noted the case had been delayed multiple times and had been pending since about 2021. Commissioners voted to enter a default decertification for that respondent after discussion and a motion for default.
The subcommittee also handled two matters involving individuals served from the Department of Safety and Homeland Security; those respondents were present for related training and properly served, and the panel moved and voted to enter default decertification for both as the agenda required. The meeting adjourned following those votes.
