OCCY reappoints executive director, approves evaluation and salary increase

Chairperson said the personnel committee was “very pleased” with Jacoby’s outline of agency work over the past year and highlighted progress on the Child Death Review Board and other accomplishments made with limited staff and funds. A motion to accept the self-evaluation passed on a roll call with unanimous “yes” responses. The commission then moved and voted to reappoint Jacoby as director, and later approved the salary adjustment to place the position near midpoint for its job classification.
Commissioners noted the agency’s constrained statutory scope and limited staffing while commending recent work, including oversight efforts and reconstituting certain boards. The motions were moved, seconded and approved by roll call; meeting minutes record no opposing votes and the chair declared each motion passed.
The reappointment fulfills a statutory biennial requirement; the salary change was described by the personnel committee as intended to move the position to the midpoint of the pay range and to reflect Jacoby’s performance. The commission recorded appreciation for Jacoby’s work and directed staff to continue agency business under his leadership.
