Russell Ray summarized the 2025 CareerTech business plan and reported that systemwide enrollments now total 520,733, an increase of 6.3% over the prior fiscal year.

"Our total system wide enrollments are now at 520,733 enrollments. That's still up 6.3% from the previous fiscal year," Russell said while walking through plan highlights, which also included a business spotlight on Captive Air in Muskogee and the CareerTech Champion feature stories.

Ray noted minor modifications since the last board meeting, highlighted the agency’s appropriations request (details in the plan packet) and mentioned a recent, unplanned publicity moment: a chance podcast interview and photograph with television host Mike Rowe included in the plan's materials.

Board members complimented the plan’s presentation and its one-page "fast facts" outputs for outreach. A motion to accept the 2025 business plan was moved and seconded; the board approved the recommendation on a roll-call vote.

Staff said they would circulate additional materials, including the return-on-investment/economic impact study and fast facts, before the next board meeting.
