Cobb commissioners unanimously appoint Steven D. White as Support Services Agency Director

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 28 approved the appointment of Steven D. White as the county’s Support Services Agency Director, effective Feb. 17, 2025. County Manager Dr. Jackie McMorris recommended the appointment and outlined White’s county service, noting his experience in the Tax Assessor’s Office, work as senior appraiser and deputy chief appraiser, and leadership since 2013 in compiling the county’s tax digest.
Chairwoman Lisa Cupid moved to approve the appointment; the motion was seconded and carried 5-0. White spoke briefly, thanked the board and colleagues and said he looks forward to working in the new role.
The board asked staff to make introductions to county employees and the public welcomed White to the new position.
