Representatives for Redington Fairview General Hospital presented a site inventory and analysis for a proposed 24,000-square-foot medical office building and associated parking expansion at Fairview Avenue and Jones Street.
Steve Blake of BH 2M spoke for the hospital and described a phased plan: grading and stormwater capacity upgrades near an existing family medicine building, phased parking additions along Jones Street, and demolition of a building on the opposite side of Fairview Avenue to accommodate additional work. Blake said the hospital will seek a major amendment to its existing site law permit with DEP and that the project does not require an amendment to a prior DOT traffic movement permit based on current assessments.
Board members said four of them had completed a site walk with staff and found that most questions were addressed. Members and the applicant discussed grading, stormwater controls and the phasing plan; no final action was taken at the meeting and the applicant will return for further review as staff and reviewers confirm permit amendments and stormwater details.
The presentation also included procedural items: the board confirmed the quorum and earlier approved minutes before taking up the application. The board indicated that further technical details (stormwater calculations and DEP amendment materials) are expected in later submittals.
