District updates: auditoriums, gym refresh, parking lights, paving and barrier gates

Regarding auditoriums, Speaker 1 presented slides from Mr. Ganesh and said Phase 1 work on Middle School West is scheduled for completion by Dec. 20 and that East’s schedule is shown in the project slides; the presenter emphasized meeting these deadlines because the school musical season follows the holidays. On indoor maintenance, Speaker 2 said staff completed a quick refresh of the high school competition gym using donated products and that future work should be handled in-house.
On site improvements, Speaker 2 said the high school student lot will receive five flood heads on existing poles to increase brightness; those spotlights will operate with the main lot lighting and are LED units to limit electrical draw. Paving work by Dio Paving is scheduled to begin with staging and milling, followed by major asphalt replacement. The district also plans to install barrier gates on campus; the contractor is scheduled to begin work Dec. 17 and finish Dec. 19.
No formal votes occurred; staff said they will continue with contractor coordination and monitor completion against the auditorium timeline and construction schedules.
